Bar Louie

This place isn't as good as I was hoping it'd be. The food is below average and the drinks aren't that great either, not if you're going for at least a good buzz. The atmosphere isn't loud which is good so it's a laid back place, but that's the only good thing it has going for it.

On Sunday, May 25th, Some friends and I decided to head to Bar Louie for some dinner and drinks before heading to a comedy show. We arrived at 5pm didn't get drinks until 5:15/5:20ish and our food didn't come out until about 6pm. Now, things were slow in the restaurant, maybe 10 tables of people and a bunch of waitstaff just standing around chit chatting, we asked the waitress if we could get our waters and what the hold up on the food was, we ordered tacos, salad, pizza and a sandwich so none of it should have taken more than about 15 minutes to get to us. When it did finally arrive, my salad was limp and soaked in dressing and served in a to-go box, my friend's pizza was not even cooked and the tacos were a complete disaster soft shells were dried out and hard, it had two sprinkles of cheese and 1 little piece of lettuce, and we were told that to add salsa or tomatoes or anything else to them, it would be an extra charge. The manager came over and looked at our food and asked what was wrong . . . . like he didn't notice it looked like poop. He asked us if we wanted something else and we just said we'd take our tab for the drinks andget the heck outta there.He said he hoped we would come back. Yea, right. I've worked in restaurants and there is no way I would have put any of our food on the table and thought it was ok, when it was obviously a total disaster. So basically I will never go back there, nor will my friends, and I would never recommend it to another patron looking for some yummy food before heading to a movie or a show or whatever . . . just eat at your destination, trust me the food has got to be much better.
